Tracy McIntyre was born and raised in
Savannah
GA
, and Lori McIntyre was born in
Anniston
AL
but grew up in
Savannah
GA.
They have been happily married for over 19 years and have 4 children. They have been living in the heart of the Blueridge Mountains, where Tracy's ancestors are from, since December 1st, 1999.
Tracy McIntyre graduated from Sol C. Johnson High in 1980 and received his Eagle Scout rank that same year as a member of Troop 115. Shortly after high school he moved to
Orlando
FL and spent almost 2 years there building box spring frames.
Tracy
has come a long way since his days of working as a box spring maker. He has his continuing education diploma in social work psychology which helps him with his work with the scouts.
Lori is a proud graduate of Windsor Forest High (GO KNIGHTS!!!!) and took a turn at making the BEST pizza in
Savannah
(1983 Savannah News Press). When other choices came up she decided that marriage to Tracy was what God wanted for her and after a short courtship, they married and began an interesting journey that has left her older AND wiser. Although computers ARE NOT her idea of fun or expertise, Lori sees A LOT of opportunity to help the small (and not so small) business to get more exposure as well as helping the citizens get the information they want and need.
Tracy and Lori launched LocalSprucePine.com and LocalMarion.com in February 2006. This was their decision after talking to their friends Chris and Sandy Benton who operate sister sites in SC, GA, and FL,
LocalBurnsville.com was launched in the middle of June. Since then Tracy and Lori have launched LocalMorganton.com, LocalHickory.com, LocalRutherford.com LocalAvery.com and LocalGreenville.com.Tracy and Lori have the same belief as Chris & Sandy, and that is, if you make advertising affordable to even the smallest business, they can be more successful. Whether the busines is small, big or just starting out, they have an advertising package for them.
Tracy and Lori’s future plans are to make all the local websites stronger and to launch in even more cities across western North Carolina. They will always keep the prices affordable and offer a grandfather clause that is once an advertiser goes in any of the websites, whatever price they paid, the price will remain the same at as long as they continue advertising with them.
