Truly writes, "Just wanted to let everyone know that you can be scammed anywhere doing anything! A lot has happened to me over the past month and I hope that my advice can help someone else"
Beware of anyone offering to buy something and to use their own "shipper". I had an incidence with this just recently. I placed my pet up for adoption on petfinder. Since I had never done this before I just accepted what the "buyer" said. They offered me a lot more than I was asking and asked me if he could send me a US Postal money order for payment and if I would send the extra money to the shipper. I thought that this would be fine. I got a few emails stating that the "payment" couldn't be sent because his wife recently had a baby. And to make a long story short the Money Orders were a fake. I Thank God that he stopped me by a phone call from sending the money before I found out what was going on. Since I found out that the money orders were fake, I have done research online and this is happening everywhere on different websites, even ebay. I just hope that you will watch out for yourself if the situation arises. The person that wrote me sounded sincere, and I believed every word. So if you place anything for sale please beware if they ask you to send money anywhere! Call about the money order, check or however they pay you before you do anything. I hope that with me going through this I can help someone else not get into this. If anyone would like to see some of the emails, please let me know, I would be glad to share them with you. Fortunatley I saved everyone of them and the people responsible are under investigation.
